Kaitlin – Therapist in Gander, NL (Perinatal Mental Health, Addiction & Anxiety Support)
Kaitlin is a Registered Social Worker based in Gander, Newfoundland & Labrador, offering individual therapy both in-person and virtually across Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, and Ontario. She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, substance use, and life transitions.
Kaitlin brings a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental approach to therapy. As a military spouse and mother of two, she understands the real-life pressures that can impact mental health — including parenting, relationships, relocation, and identity shifts. She creates a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful, practical change.
Kaitlin has a particular focus on perinatal mental health, addiction and recovery, and anxiety. She supports clients navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, relapse prevention, and substance use, as well as those experiencing overwhelm, stress, or emotional ups and downs.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based and flexible approaches. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Unified Protocol to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Kaitlin is currently pursuing certification as a Perinatal Mental Health Clinician through Postpartum Support International and continues to expand her training in trauma and couples counselling.
Many clients come to Kaitlin feeling overwhelmed, navigating major life transitions, or looking for support through pregnancy, postpartum, or recovery. Whether you’re managing anxiety, adjusting to parenthood, or working through substance use challenges, she offers a steady, compassionate space to help you move forward.
