Therapy that feels human.
Why We Do This Work
Everest Therapeutics was founded in Nunatsiavut, Labrador by Courtney Ryder with a mission to make therapy more accessible, relatable, and human—especially for people in rural and underserved communities across Atlantic Canada.

We know that traditional therapy can feel clinical, intimidating, or disconnected from real life. That’s why we provide virtual counselling and psychotherapy that is warm, down-to-earth, trauma-informed, and evidence-based.

Our team uses approaches like CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and ADHD-informed care to support clients with anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship issues, depression, and life transitions.

We are passionate about serving the East Coast and Ontario, where access to mental health services can be limited—particularly in rural areas, remote communities, and northern regions. By offering online therapy, we bridge the gap between urban and rural mental health care so that support is available wherever you are.
Alongside our mission to reduce barriers to mental health services, Everest Therapeutics is equally committed to supporting clinicians who are new to private practice. We believe therapists deserve access to practical, barrier-free knowledge, mentorship, and guidance so they can build sustainable, confident careers while providing high-quality care to their communities.
Today, Everest continues to grow with the same core foundations we started with: accessible mental health care, consistent and evidence-based services, and a commitment to helping both clients and clinicians thrive. We are proud to support individuals and families across Atlantic Canada with therapy that is compassionate, culturally informed, and grounded in real-life understanding.

No labels.
No shame.
Just real people helping real people feel seen, supported, and understood.
