Jerica holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University. Based in Nova Scotia, she brings over eight years of experience as a Registered Social Worker, including six meaningful years living and working with families in Northern Labrador.
Jerica’s therapeutic approach blends compassionate care with evidence-based practices, primarily drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She supports clients from a holistic perspective, aiming to enhance mental wellness and resilience.
She specializes in working with adults navigating mood and anxiety disorders, suicidal ideation, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, and life’s everyday stressors. Jerica is deeply committed to trauma-informed, culturally safe care and brings a grounded, empathetic presence to her sessions.
Passionate about lifelong learning, Jerica enjoys diving into non-fiction books, podcasts, and documentaries. Outside of work, she shares her life with two cats and a husky mix.
Jerica is available for virtual therapy sessions across Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick.
