Adult ADHD Assessments in Newfoundland & Labrador
ADHD does not always look like obvious hyperactivity or difficulty sitting still. For many adults, ADHD may show up as chronic procrastination, difficulty starting or completing tasks, forgetfulness, inconsistent productivity, time blindness, overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, or feeling like everyday responsibilities require far more effort than they seem to require for other people.
Some adults begin exploring ADHD after recognizing similar traits in their children, struggling with increasing demands at work or home, experiencing burnout, or realizing that anxiety or perfectionism may have been helping them compensate for attention and executive-functioning difficulties.
An adult ADHD assessment provides an opportunity to look more closely at these patterns, including your developmental history, current functioning, attention, organization, executive functioning, and the ways these challenges affect different areas of your life.
ADHD Assessments for Youth
ADHD can also affect school, relationships, routines, emotional regulation, organization, motivation, and self-esteem for adolescents and young people.
Our youth ADHD assessments in Newfoundland & Labrador consider the young person's experiences within the broader context of their development and everyday life. The goal isn't simply to identify symptoms. It's to develop a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to the challenges they are experiencing and what kinds of support may be helpful moving forward.
What Does an ADHD Assessment Include?
The ADHD assessment process takes place over three appointments and includes a comprehensive clinical interview, assessment and diagnostic review, and a feedback appointment.
Lorelei will gather information about areas such as attention, executive functioning, developmental history, current concerns, and how symptoms may be affecting school, work, relationships, home life, and day-to-day functioning.
Following the assessment, you will have an opportunity to discuss the findings, ask questions, and better understand the recommendations arising from the assessment. A written assessment report is also included.
Our aim is for the process to provide more than a diagnosis. Whether ADHD is identified or not, an assessment can help you better understand your experiences and identify practical next steps.

ADHD Assessment Cost
